  • “What addiction treatment resources are in my area?”
The hotline staff may be able to direct you to both public and private substance abuse programs near you.

“What does addiction treatment usually entail?”
Many people seeking help for the first time don’t know what to expect. Make sure to ask the alcohol hotline staff any questions you have. Knowing more about what generally happens during treatment may help you to feel more comfortable about going.

“I’m struggling right now and just need to talk to someone — can we chat?”

“When you get a chance can you contact me? I feel really alone and suicidal, and could use some support.”
